THE PROBLEM
The boxes are opened and when we check both surfaces, we find that the hot melt adhesive has penetrated, however, the adhesion has not been sufficient, and the flaps remain open.
THE ORIGIN OF THE PROBLEM
One of the characteristics that we must quantify and know is the cohesion of the adhesive or the difficulty to move in perpendicular phases. There is a correlation between the amount of adhesive applied and its cohesion.
THE SOLUTION
In order to solve this problem, in addition to checking the adhesion capacity of the adhesive used, the temperatures of use must be checked to ensure that they are not excessive, resulting in more than the correct amount of product being applied.
There are also other elements involved in the adjustment of the packer, such as the pressure time, the direction of the pressure and the pressure applied, which must be studied in detail.
